These Terms govern your use of the Services. By using HandyConnect, you agree to these Terms.

1) The Service

HandyConnect is a marketplace operated by La Vita Ghana Limited that connects clients with artisans and facilitates payments via secure payment protection mechanisms through La Vita Ghana Limited’s payment processing and management. HandyConnect is not the employer of artisans and does not itself perform trade work.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and capable of forming a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
  • We may require identity verification (including Ghana Card) and trade proof.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account.

3) Identity Verification & Trust Tiers

We may assign verification tiers (e.g., Basic/Verified/Pro) based on documents, references, job performance, and risk signals. We may change tiers, restrict categories, or require inspections at our discretion for safety and fraud prevention.

4) User Conduct (Anti-Scam / Anti-Fraud)

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate any person or submit false Ghana Card/trade credentials
  • Misrepresent qualifications, pricing, materials, or job scope
  • Attempt to move transactions off-platform to avoid fees or payment protection
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
  • Submit stolen content, illegal content, or unsafe instructions
  • Interfere with platform operations or security

Zero-tolerance events (may result in immediate suspension/ban and referral to authorities): fraud, theft, violence/threats, sexual harassment, extortion, identity falsification, or repeated unsafe work.

5) Jobs, Quotes, Inspections & Scope

  • Clients post job requests; artisans submit quotes based on available info.
  • For complex/high-risk jobs, HandyConnect may require a paid inspection before final pricing.
  • Clients must provide accurate job details; artisans must provide honest, itemized quotes where required.

6) Payments, Payment Protection, Payouts & Fees

  • Clients pay through the app using supported methods.
  • Funds are held securely via La Vita Ghana Limited until job completion is confirmed under platform rules.
  • Upon completion, funds are split between artisan and platform commission, plus applicable taxes/levies where required by law.
  • Fees are disclosed before confirmation.
  • Payment processing and fund management are handled by La Vita Ghana Limited; delays may occur due to network or partner systems.

7) Disputes, Holds, Refunds & Evidence

  • If a dispute is raised, funds may be placed on hold pending review.
  • Users agree to cooperate by providing evidence (photos/videos/messages/receipts).
  • HandyConnect may make a determination based on evidence and platform rules, including partial release, refund, rework, or cancellation.
  • Decisions are made to protect marketplace integrity; repeated abuse of disputes may lead to restrictions.

8) Safety & Quality Disclaimer

HandyConnect does not guarantee workmanship. Any warranty/insurance coverage applies only if purchased and subject to insurer terms. Users must follow safety guidance and local regulations.

9) Content & License

You grant HandyConnect and La Vita Ghana Limited a non-exclusive license to use content you upload (photos, videos, messages) solely to operate, improve, and secure the Services, including fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

10) Suspension, Termination & Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, risk, or legal compliance. We may retain and share relevant data for fraud prevention and legal reporting where permitted.

11) Cooperation with Authorities

You acknowledge and agree that HandyConnect and La Vita Ghana Limited may share relevant account and transaction information with authorities where we reasonably believe it is necessary to investigate fraud, theft, threats, or comply with lawful requests.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HandyConnect and La Vita Ghana Limited are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to fees paid to HandyConnect in the 12 months preceding the event, except where prohibited by law.

13) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify HandyConnect and La Vita Ghana Limited against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, illegal conduct, or misuse of the Services.

14) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Accra unless otherwise required.

15) Changes

We may update Terms; continued use means acceptance.
